How it works

Every Lab is built around a mix methodology: a deliberate combination of asynchronous touchpoints, individual sessions, group sessions, and co-design workshops, sequenced to fit the question and the population. Cadence and intensity adapt to the brief — a single-market product question runs leaner than a multi-country implementation plan.

Every Lab includes:

  • A merakoi patient co-design and insights lead and a patient UX strategist
  • Patient experts matched to your therapeutic area and business goals
  • Project moderation, insight synthesis, and a deliverable you can act on
  • Compliance and legal oversight, including FMV-based contracting and NDAs

Global diagnostics company — heart failure detection in type 2 diabetes

A multi-country Patient Experience Lab co-designed how high-risk T2DM patients should be encouraged to test for heart failure and how diagnostic results should be interpreted with them. Two deployable outputs: a layperson-friendly diagnostic brochure that translates clinical results into language and decisions patients can act on, and a multi-country implementation plan with culture- and health-system-specific recommendations for each market.

The work moved a single-market clinical asset into a deployable patient-facing program.
